According to him, currently each political party in KIB is conducting personal identification for the nomination of presidential candidates. Both from within the coalition and from outside the coalition. "In my opinion, Pak Airlangga's statement must be interpreted that KIB is currently carrying out personal identification. This means that in the near future, after compiling the vision and mission platform, it will begin to identify these figures. is inside the KIB, it could be from outside," said Arsul at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 8.

The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR then mentioned the characteristics of the figures that KIB would carry. Arsul emphasized that Golkar, PAN and PPP did not want to propose the name of a presidential candidate just because of their high electability in various survey institutions.

"Political parties don't want that person just because the survey is high. In my opinion, the political party doesn't want it just because that person was created in a situation where the survey is high, there are 'investors', we'll take it," he explained.

In addition, continued Arsul, a person cannot be nominated as a presidential or vice-presidential candidate if he has not joined a political party.

"So it can't be that that person hasn't entered a political party directly from a presidential or vice presidential candidate. That's the spirit that exists from the parties, I think it is," he added. are the general leaders of political parties on the coalition axis. Airlangga's statement at the same time refuted the notion that the coalition would nominate candidates from parties outside of KIB. However, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy did not want to name the candidate in question.

Airlangga, only revealed three characteristics of the presidential candidate that will be carried by KIB. First, the presidential candidate has the character to be able to continue the development of the era of President Joko Widodo's administration. Because, according to him, the parties that are members of the KIB are supporters of the Jokowi-Maruf government.

"This is in line with the vision and mission of KIB to oversee the Jokowi-Maruf government and continue development in the coming period," he said.

Second, the presidential candidate that will be promoted by KIB is an anti-political figure. In addition, said Airlangga, he must be able to unite and prevent polarization in society," he explained.

Third, as a figure that will be carried by KIB as a presidential candidate, it is necessary to have high flying hours and experience. Especially in the face of a very dynamic political situation in Indonesia.
