DKI DPRD Approves Transjakarta-MRT-LRT Integration Tariff Of IDR 10,000 For 3 Hours

JAKARTA - Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD approved the proposal from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding integrated Jakarta transportation fares. This decision was finally knocked after going through several long discussions.

The DKI Provincial Government proposes a tariff for travel using public transportation, namely Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta with a nominal value of IDR 10,000 for 3 hours.

In the working meeting of Commission B of the DKI DPRD together with the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government and BUMD in the transportation sector, the DPRD also recommended a trial period of transportation integration tariffs for 6 months.

"The approved integration tariff is Rp. 10,000 with a trial period of 6 months from the date it is set and will be evaluated every 6 months for 1 year to find out the impact of implementing the integration package on community values using the mass transportation model," said Chairman of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Ismail in the building. The next recommendation, the DPRD asks the DKI Provincial Government to report the number of community users or beneficiaries of the integration tariff package every 6 months for 1 year

This report was submitted by separating the data of the youth community who pulled the integration with a DKI Jakarta ID card and a non-Jakarta ID card.

The fourth recommendation is that free integration tickets can be provided to 15 community groups.

The details are DKI Jakarta civil servants and retired civil servants; DKI Jakarta contractors; KJP and KJMU recipients; certain private employees; apartment occupants; Thousand Islands KTP; poor rice recipients (raskin); members of the TNI-Polri; veteran; persons with disabilities; elderly; house of worship workers; PAUD; jumantik and dasawisma; Family Welfare Empowerment Team (PKK).

"In the end, it will encourage people to use rail-based mass transportation modes, as long as it does not increase the burden on the APBD through PSO (public service obligation). If there is an additional PSO, it will be decided at Commission B," said Ismail.

Ismail underlined that a number of recommendations are still dynamic. Commission B DPRD can still evaluate the policy. Thus, it is possible that there will be new recommendations after the implementation of the policy in the field.

“Of course, this goal is to optimize the creation of tariff integration, route integration and physical integration. This is as mandated by the Regional Regulation," he concluded.
