How Many Pilgrims Have Been Flown To Saudi?

JAKARTA - A total of 2,046 hajj candidates from four embarkations namely Jakarta, Padang, Solo, and Surabaya will depart for Saudi Arabia on the third day of departure or the operational period of the 1443 Hijriah/2022 AD Hajj.

"The number of planned departures for Hajj pilgrims on the third day is five batches of four embarkations with a total number of 2,046 pilgrims," said Head of the Public Relations, Data and Information Bureau of the Ministry of Religion Akhmad Fauzin at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, June 6.

He detailed the number of pilgrims departing from each embarkation, namely Jakarta Pondok Gede one group with a total of 393 people, Padang embarkation as many as one group with a total of 393 people.

Then the Solo embarkation of one cluster with a total of 360 people and Surabaya embarkation of two groups with a total of 450 people each.

If calculated from the first day of departure, the Jakarta embarkation dispatched three groups with a total of 1,171 pilgrims and officers, the Bekasi embarkation four groups with a total of 1,635 pilgrims and officers.

Furthermore, there were four batches of Solo embarkation with 1,432 pilgrims and officers, two Surabaya embarkations with 898 pilgrims and officers, and two Padang embarkation with 784 pilgrims and officers.

"Thus until today the number that has been dispatched is 15 groups or 15 flying groups with a total of 5,920 pilgrims and officers," said Akhmad.

Hajj 1443 H/2022 M coincided with the summer. According to Abdullah, the average weather conditions in Saudi Arabia today range from 30 to 44 degrees Celsius with an average humidity of eight percent.

"Our message for the congregation is to stay well rested, drink water before being thirsty, and wear masks when gathering in the room," he said.
