After Serving Their Criminal Period, 3 Malaysian Citizens Were Deported From Kalimantan

PONTIANAK - The Immigration Office Class II TPI Sambas, West Kalimantan Province, deported three Malaysian citizens (WN) who had completed their detention period at the Sambas Detention Center via the Aruk Cross-Border Post (PLBN).

"The three foreigners from Malaysia were deported through the Aruk PLBN, Sambas Regency today (Saturday)," said Zulkarnain, a public relations officer at the West Kalimantan Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, as quoted by Antara, Saturday, June 4.

He explained that the three Malaysian citizens were deported after completing a 1 year and 4 month detention period and paying a fine of IDR 100 million, a subsidiary of 2 months at the Sambas State Detention Center.

"The three Malaysian citizens, namely Roland Bin Sutomo, Kevin Bin Pilen, and Freddie Casper Bin Zuhamy," he said.

According to him, this deportation is an administrative action in accordance with Article 78 paragraph (2) paragraph (3) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

Previously, the three foreigners from Malaysia violated Article 113 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

The three Malaysian citizens on January 12, 2021, entered Indonesian territory without going through an inspection by the Immigration officer at the checkpoint.

Then the three Malaysian citizens were taken to the Pamtas 642/KPS Chef Post and handed over to the Class II Immigration Office of TPI Sambas.

He added that his party had dispatched six personnel to carry out the deportation, namely Muhammad Denny Ridwan (Kasi Inteldakim) and five members based on an order from the Head of the Class II Immigration Office of TPI Sambas on June 4, 2022.

Zulkarnain added that the deportation of the three Malaysian citizens through the Aruk PLBN in Sambas Regency went smoothly and without a hitch.
