Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office Names New Suspect In Environmental Market Project Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Tangerang City District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has named a new suspect in a corruption case related to the Environmental Market project, Periuk District, Tangerang City. The Head of the Tangerang City Attorney General's Office, Erich Folanda, said the suspect was the Director of PT Delta Elok Lestari with the initials AD.

"The Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office has named one more suspect in the corruption crime of environmental market development activities and was immediately arrested today," Erich Folanda told reporters at the Tangerang City Attorney's Office, Tuesday, May 31.

"AD has the capacity as Director of PT Delta Elok Lestari who in this case was appointed as a supervisor in the development of the environmental market in Gebang Raya Village, Periuk District at the Disperindag for the 2017 fiscal year," he continued.

Erich also explained that the total number of suspects in the corruption case was five.

"Currently there are 5 suspects," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Intel's Prosecutor's Office for Tangerang Bayu Probo Sutopo said that PT Delta Elok Lestari was appointed as a supervisory consultant in the environmental market development activity, and the contract value was known to be IDR 68 million.

"The budget supervisory consultant contacted IDR 68 million, the supervisory consultant had a contractual bond, he reported to the KPA as well as to the PPK, namely the suspect OSS," he said.

For information, the determination of the AD Suspect is an advanced stage of the determination of the 4 previous suspects, namely OSS, AA, AR, and DI which was carried out on May 10, 2022.

AD was charged with violating Article 2 paragraph (1) Jo. Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts Corruption Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code and/or Article 3 Jo.

Article 18 Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and added to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts Corruption Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code which in the event of causing state financial losses in the amount of IDR 640,673,987.
