BALIKPAPAN - Crime events that have been relatively long gone do not mean they will not be revealed. Last weekend, for example, the Balikpapan Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) arrested SN who broke into a shop in the Balikpapan Super Block (BSB) business district in early May. According to Kompol Rengga, in the surveillance camera footage, the suspect SN (32 years old) broke into the shop door by breaking the lock. From inside the shop, he took a laptop, CCTV receiver, a hooded shirt or jumper, trousers, and a bag. The total loss is up to IDR 22.5 million.

It took some time for the police to trace who the person whose actions were recorded on the CCTV was.

"But we later managed to identify the perpetrators and managed to apprehend him at his residence in West Balikpapan," said Kompol Rengga as quoted by Antara. As a result, SN, whose ID card address is at Pemuda street, Palopo, Bua District, South Sulawesi, faces a sentence of 5 years in prison.
