Student Stabbed To Death In Lung, Police: Perpetrator And Victim Made An Appointment On Instagram

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit and Jatinegara Police stated that the trigger for the deadly brawl that killed MF (17) at Kam Otista Market, Cipinang Cempedak Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta started through Instagram between two groups of teenagers.

"The MF victim group, via IG, the victim received a message from the DS perpetrator group (16) which essentially asked the perpetrator to meet with the victim group to have a brawl", said East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi to VOI, Monday, May 30.

From the results of the examination of the brawlers with the initials DS, he has admitted his actions.

"For the perpetrator, there was one person. But before that, we arrested five witnesses who were involved in the brawl at that time. According to their statement, we knew that DS was the culprit", said AKBP Ahsanul.

Kasat continued, that the incident occurred in a brawl between groups of victims and perpetrators occurred on Thursday, May 26, at around 02.09 WIB. They met on Jalan Otista 3. During the meeting, the group of perpetrators numbered 30 people while the group of victims numbered 15 people.

"In the end, they got into a brawl on Jalan Otista 3. Because the number of the victims' group lost, so they retreated, to be precise at Pasar Kam, that's where the stabbing of the victim MF took place", he said.

The suspect DS was arrested at his home, two days after the incident.

"According to the statements of the witnesses we examined, the five perpetrators were DS. He was charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code paragraph 2 in conjunction with 351 of the Criminal Code with threats of up to 5 years in prison", he said.

Previously reported, incidents of brawls between groups of teenagers again claimed lives. This time, the deadly brawl took place on Jalan Otista 3, Cipinang Cempedak Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

A junior high school student with the initials MF died as a result of being involved in a brawl on Thursday, May 26, yesterday.

The teenager, a resident of RT 005/01, Cipinang Cempedak Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, was seriously injured by a sharp weapon stabbed in the lung. Although he was taken to the hospital, the victim's life could not be saved.
