West Java Provincial Government Promises Quality Of Cikarang-Cibarusah Bekasi Road Widening

BEKASI - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) has ensured that the results of the first phase of widening the 2.3 kilometer Cikarang-Cibarusah Road on the Cibarusah-Mekarmukti section are of high quality after completion of the work at the end of this year.

"We are following provincial road standards. I am confident of the quality of this road later," said Dede M Yahya, Commitment Making Officer at the West Java (West Java) Highways and Spatial Planning Service in Cikarang, Thursday, May 26.

He said the road widening was carried out with due regard to quality, one of which was the use of a layer of concrete with a thickness of 27 centimeters so that it is believed to be strong and durable.

"Later on, all of the concrete is 27 centimeters high, then underneath there is also 10 centimeters of thin concrete. It is two by seven meters wide," he quoted Antara as saying.

He explained that in general the scope of work on the reconstruction of the road structure capacity includes the installation of masonry with mortar, cement-concrete pavement, thin concrete underlayment, and type 2 precast kereb or barrier (barrier).

Dede stated that the reconstruction work will not only widen the road from six meters to 14 meters, but also build waterways or drainage and road medians.

All financing for the work comes from the West Java 2022 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) worth IDR 17.49 billion in accordance with the value of the work contract of the winner of the auction.

"The total budget ceiling is IDR 24 billion, but this is an auction, so the winner agrees to be able to complete this project with a contract value of IDR 17 billion," he said.

He targets the construction of this road project to be completed by the end of 2022 or 220 calendar days from the start of work, which is today.

His party also continues to coordinate with a number of other relevant agencies that have an interest in the roads that are classified as provincial roads.

"We have asked the utility cable owner to fix it, from early January we have closed it. Maybe the problem is that from me it is only the PDAM pipe below, if there is a leak it is difficult. But from the results of the discussion, he said there will be special reinforcement from them. , not deepened the location of the pipe," he concluded.
