PDIP Ready To Participate In Verification Process, Megawati: We Prove Testing Rules For Candidates For 2024 Elections

JAKARTA - PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded party officials in all regions to prepare for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), including the verification process.

This was conveyed by Megawati when giving a virtual halal bihalal briefing with the ranks of PDIP cadres and three party structures, Wednesday, May 25. According to him, this verification process will be carried out by the old parties as well as the new parties that will compete in the 2024 General Election.

"We must be able to prove that we fulfill the regulations as candidates for election contestants," said Megawati as quoted from her written statement.

Not only that, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia also reminded that PDIP is a party formed in the interests of the nation and state. Although Megawati knows that this goal is not easy, she is sure that it can be realized.

As long as the cadres hold on to the three basic principles, such as belief. "The most important thing, first, is our belief," said Megawati.

"Second, our intention. Bismillah. The third is our work, if only one or two will not be possible. We must have all three. Thus, we work together," he added.

Megawati had announced the implementation of the 2nd PDIP National Working Meeting (Rakernas) to her cadres. He said, this activity will be held on June 21-23.

Megawati said this activity was indeed behind the schedule. The reason is because they are waiting for a decision on the official stages of the General Election by the KPU.

Meanwhile, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto also briefly reported to Megawati and the halal bihalal participants that the PDIP DPP will hold a Homeland Coffee Festival which is targeted to break the MURI record.

"The Homeland Coffee Festival will be held from 27 to 29 May in the Bung Karno area as the closing of the PDI-P's 49th Anniversary series," said Hasto.
