Public Prosecutor Receives Delegation Of Corruption Suspect Of Lombok Hajj Dormitory

MATARAM - The public prosecutor (JPU) received the transfer of files along with one of the three suspects in the corruption case of the Hajj Embarkation Dormitory Building Rehabilitation Project in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

"Yes, today's agenda is that we have received an assignment for one suspect on behalf of Abdurrazak Al Fakhir," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Mataram District Attorney's Office, Heru Sandika Triyana, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 24.

As a follow-up to the delegation, the Public Prosecutor has now returned Abdurrazak Al Fakhir to the custody of the Class IIA Mataram Penitentiary in Kuripan, West Lombok Regency.

"Because the criminal period in question in the previous case has not been completed, we have not made any arrests, but the person concerned is currently still a prisoner in prison," he said.

The former Head of the Lombok Embarkation Hajj Dormitory UPT was previously entangled in a corruption case of PNBP funds for the Hajj hostel.

Abdurrazak served a prison sentence of one year and two months in accordance with the verdict of the Mataram Tipikor District Court.

In the decision, the judge also imposed a fine of IDR 50 million, subsidiary of two months in prison and charged him with compensating for state losses in accordance with the results of the NTB BPKP examination of IDR 484.26 million, subsidiary of six months in prison.

The verdict to compensate the state for losses was shared with the other convict, former treasurer Iffan Jaya Kusuma.

However, Abdurrazak is known to have deposited Rp288.314 million in cash to the public prosecutor. The judge decided that the money should be confiscated to be used as a substitute for state losses.

Even though he is currently serving a criminal period in the old case, Heru assured that the Public Prosecutor will continue the process of prosecuting Abdurrazak at trial.

"We are preparing the indictment file immediately for trial," said Heru.

Then for the other two suspects who come from partners who act as Director of CV Kerta Agung with the initials AW, and WSB from the entrepreneur, Heru confirmed that his party had not received any news of the delegation or detention.

"So today's agenda is only one person, the others have not," he said.

Two other suspects are involved in this case, according to the results of the investigation by the NTB Special Criminal Investigation Team. One of the corroborating evidence is the finding of state losses of Rp. 2.65 billion.

This value was confirmed by the results of a physical check by investigators with the NTB Inspectorate Auditor Team. Indications of corruption arise from overpayments for under-volume work.

In detail, the losses arising from the rehabilitation of the building at the UPT Hajj hostel amounted to Rp. 1.17 billion; rehabilitation of hotel buildings Rp.373.11 million; the rehabilitation of the Mina Building Rp. 235.95 million.

Then the rehabilitation of the Safwa Building Rp.242.92 million; rehabilitation of the Arofah Building Rp.290.6 million, and the rehabilitation of the PIH Building to Rp.28.6 million.

The Inspectorate once tolerated the recovery of state losses, but this did not get the intention of returning it until finally this matter went to the Prosecutor's Office.
