Cak Imin Wants To Be A Presidential Candidate If PKB Joins United Indonesia Coalition, Golkar: First Drink Coffee, Then Discuss Figures

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party has responded to the intention of the National Awakening Party (PKB) to join the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) on the condition that General Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin become its presidential candidate.

The chairman of the Golkar Party DPP, Ace Hasan Syadzily, revealed that this coalition is still opening the door for other political parties if they want to join. However, both Golkar, PAN and PPP have not yet determined the figure to be carried in the 2024 presidential election.

Ace then asked Cak Imin to 'sit together' if PKB was serious about joining the United Indonesia Coalition with PAN, Golkar, and PPP.

"We will discuss this figure with the General Chair of the coalition party. We will discuss it together. So if Cak Imin wants to join, it is very open. We will have coffee first, then discuss the figure," said Ace to reporters, Monday, May 23. .

The Golkar Party itself, said Ace, has determined that it will nominate General Chair Airlangga Hartarto as a presidential candidate in 2024 in the national deliberation. However, this matter needs to be discussed, considered and agreed between the coalition political parties.

"The discussion about this figure, borrowed the language of Pak Ketum Golkar, Airlangga Hartarto, in the next volume. Even though we in the Golkar party want Pak Airlangga as the presidential candidate," said Ace.

Previously, the chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, said he was ready to join the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). The condition is that Cak Imin must be a presidential candidate (candidate).
