Case Management Bribery, Judge Itong Will Be Tried At The Corruption Court In Surabaya

JAKARTA - Inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat will soon undergo trial. This was done after investigators handed over the alleged bribery file that ensnared him to the public prosecutor (JPU).

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that the transfer of the files was carried out today, Thursday, May 19.

"The team of prosecutors received the delegation of phase II or the submission of the suspect and evidence for suspect IIH and friends from the investigation team," said Ali in a written statement to reporters, Thursday, May 19.

This delegation was carried out because the alleged bribery dossier was stated to be complete, both formally and materially.

Furthermore, Itong and other suspects will be detained again for the next 20 days until June 7. Three suspects, including Itong, will be detained in different detention centers.

After this file has been submitted, the public prosecutor has 14 working days to submit the dossier and indictment to the Corruption Court. Later, the trial will be held at the Corruption Court at the Surabaya District Court.

"The transfer of case files and indictments to the Corruption Court will be carried out by the prosecutor's team within 14 working days," said Ali.

"The trial is scheduled at the Corruption Court at the Surabaya District Court," he added.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) determined that the inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat and the substitute clerk, Hamdan, were the recipients of bribes. While the giver is a lawyer and representative of PT Soyu Giri Primedika, Hendro Kasiono.

This bribe was given by Hendro Kasiono so that the decision on the PT SGP case was according to his party's wishes, namely that the company was declared disbanded with a divisible asset value of IDR 50 billion.

Meanwhile, Hendro gave Hamdan Rp. 140 million in the parking lot of the Surabaya District Court Building as a sign of completion. However, before the money was in the hands of Judge Itong, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT).
