Minister Of Religion Asks To Control The Quality Of Hajj Congregation Services

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas requested that the quality of service for the pilgrims of Hajj 1443 H/2022 AD be strictly monitored to ensure that Allah's guests get the best service while in the Holy Land of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Religion, who is in Saudi Arabia to ensure services for Hajj pilgrims, said the contract for the procurement of accommodation and transportation services in Saudi Arabia has been completed.

Likewise, the consumption service contract in Medina has also been completed, while for Mecca there are still some that are in the process of being finalized.

This assurance was obtained by the Minister of Religion Yaqut after holding a coordination meeting at the Office of Hajj Affairs (KUH), Makkah. The Indonesian Consul General in Jeddah Eko Hartono, Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organization Hilman Latief, Two Special Staff of the Minister of Religion Abdul Rohman and Abdul Qodir, Director of Foreign Hajj Services Subhan Cholid, Expert Staff of the Minister of Religion Hasan Basri Sagala, Head of KUH Nasrullah Jasam and his staff, and Sesmen M Sidik Sisdiyanto.

"Alhamdulillah, I have received confirmation that the process of providing accommodation and transportation services for Hajj pilgrims has been completed," said the Minister of Religion, quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 19.

According to the Minister of Religion, in a limited meeting which took place at the Bogor Palace on April 17, 2022, the President specifically gave a message that the government must provide the best service in the implementation of this year's hajj. The President also reminded again about the importance of using domestic products in preparing services for pilgrims.

"The president asked that there be no delays in the distribution of the congregation's consumption. Make maximum efforts to be able to take advantage of domestic products," said Gus Men, his nickname.

The quality of transportation is also required to ensure that it is in good condition including refrigeration or air conditioning. Congregational hotel facilities must meet standards, there are prayer rooms, places to eat, dispensers, washing machines, and others. As a mitigation measure, keep hotels ready for isolation, continued the Minister of Religion.

Previously, the Head of the KUH Consulate General in Jeddah, Nasrullah Jasam, reported that the procurement of accommodation in Mecca had a 100 percent contract. This congregational hotel is spread over five areas, namely Mahbas Jin, Syisyah, Raudhah, Jarwal, and Misfalah.
