KSAU Visits US Air Force Academy To Discuss Education Curriculum

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU) Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo visited the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado, United States.

Quoted by ANTARA from a written release from the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Dispenau) Wednesday, May 18, the Air Force Chief of Staff discussed with the Dean of USAFA Brigadier General Linell Letendre regarding the implementation of the education curriculum at USAFA.

In addition, the KSAU also had the opportunity to meet face-to-face and have a dialogue with one of the cadets from the Tri Bawono Air Force Academy who was currently studying at USAFA.

When visiting USAFA, Fadjar was accompanied by the Governor of the Air Force Academy, Marshal Young Marshal (Marsda) TNI Eko Dono Indarto and the Indonesian Defense Attaché to the United States, First Marshal (Marsma) TNI Tjahja Elang Migdiawan. Their arrival was greeted by the cadet commander Brigadier General Paul D. Moga.

They also visited a number of educational facilities at USAFA, such as the Center for Character and Leadership Development (CCLD) and the USAFA academic building (Fairchild Hall).

The visit is one of the agenda in the official visit of the Chief of Staff and several Indonesian Air Force delegations to the United States.

Apart from Marsda TNI Eko Dono Indarto, other TNI AU delegations who accompanied Fadjar were the Intelligence Assistant (Asintel) Head of Marsda TNI I Wayan Sulaba and Operations Assistant (Asops) Head of Marsda TNI M. Khairil Lubis.

In addition to visiting USAFA, while in the United States, Fadjar also had a number of other main agendas, including holding official meetings with United States Chief of Staff General Charles Quinton Brown Jr. and Secretary of the US Air Force Frank Kendall.

Fadjar will also receive the award of the Legion of Merit honorary star from the United States government. The awarding ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Anacostia-Bolling Joint Base, Washington DC, United States of America.
