Ministry Of Religion Assists In Rehabilitating Mosques And Prayer Rooms In Aceh, Please Register On The Simas Application

ACEH - The Ministry of Religion launched a program to assist the construction and rehabilitation of mosques and prayer rooms in Aceh, which had stopped construction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Head of the Aceh Ministry of Religion's Regional Office, Iqbal, said that the Acehnese people, administrators or takmir of mosques and prayer rooms in their area should not waste this opportunity.

"We take advantage of this opportunity by registering their respective musalas or mosques in the regions with applicable regulations," said Iqbal in Banda Aceh, Antara, Tuesday, May 17.

Data from the Ministry of Religion of Aceh, currently the total places of worship for Muslims throughout the westernmost region of Indonesia are 4,279 mosques and 7,477 prayer rooms.

Thus, mosques and prayer rooms, which have been hampered by the construction process during this pandemic, are expected to register themselves so that the construction process can take place properly.

Iqbal explained that registration was done online based on the Mosque Information System (Simas) application. Registration will take place from 13-27 May 2022.

"The amount of assistance distributed for the mosque is Rp. 50 million and the prayer room is Rp. 35 million," he said.

According to Iqbal, the assistance is a form of the Ministry of Religion's concern and concern for the construction or rehabilitation of mosques and prayer rooms that have not been completed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Hopefully it will provide direct benefits and have an impact on the community, we will prosper the houses of worship and increase practice and devotion to Allah SWT," said Iqbal.

He emphasized that the administrators of mosques and prayer rooms should register on the official website and not trust brokers who offer the lure of helping or speeding up the assistance process.

"If there are problems in registering or need further information, you can also confirm with the Regency/City Ministry of Religion office to get valid information," said Iqbal.
