PP Muhammadiyah Regrets Singapore Forbidding Ustaz Abdul Somad

JAKARTA - PP Muhammadiyah regrets the actions of the Singapore government in banning Ustaz Abdul Somad from entering the country.

"Muhammadiyah asked the Singapore government to be able to explain as clearly as possible to the Indonesian people about what had been the cause, so that the Singapore government set a not to land or not to land to UAS," said PP Muhammadiyah Chairman Anwar Abbas through a press release in Jakarta, quoted by the Jakarta Post. His party asked the Singaporean government to explain the criteria or requirements that could not be met or that had been violated by UAS, thus preventing Abdul Somad from visiting the country.

"This is important to be explained by the Singapore government," he said. Previously, on Monday, May 16, Ustaz Abdul Somad was not allowed to enter Singapore by the local Immigration Office when he wanted to vacation there with his family.
