PURBALINGGA - The Government of Purbalingga Regency, Central Java informed that the achievement of booster doses of COVID-19 vaccination in the local area is approaching 30 percent of the 778,743 target.

"The second dose of vaccination in Purbalingga reached 85 percent, while the booster vaccination or booster dose reached almost 30 percent of the 778,743 target," said Purbalingga Regent Dyah Hayuning Pratiwi in Purbalingga as quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 15.

The increase in vaccination achievements in the local area, she said, is expected to make Purbalingga Regency immediately enter the PPKM Level 1 category.

"Seeing one of the indicators of the PPKM level is the achievement of vaccination, it is hoped that the increase in vaccination achievement in Purbalingga will make this area immediately enter the PPKM Level 1 category because it almost meets these requirements," she said.

The Regent said that the vaccination achievement in the Purbalingga area was the result of the hard work of all related parties.

"We appreciate all parties, from the TNI/Polri to all levels of the Purbalingga Regency Government and the COVID-19 Task Force at the sub-district and village levels because during Ramadan they continue to work hard until night so that vaccination achievements can be met," she said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Purbalingga District Health Office, dr. Jusi Febrianto added that the Purbalingga Regency Government continues to implement a number of strategies to support the booster vaccination acceleration program.

"In the month of Ramadan yesterday there were 10 strategies that were carried out to accelerate vaccination," he said.

The strategy includes the implementation of vaccination at night after tarawih prayers. In addition, vaccinations for prospective Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, vaccinations for educators, vaccinations for company employees, vaccinations at terminals, vaccinations for tourism sector players, vaccinations for recipients of social assistance, vaccinations in traditional markets, and vaccinations for village activities.

"There are also mass vaccinations accompanied by prizes for lucky vaccination participants," he said.

This strategy, he said, has increased the coverage of booster dose vaccination in the local area.

"With the current strategy, the booster dose vaccination has reached 30 percent of the 778,743 target," he said.
