5 Days In The US, President Jokowi And Mrs. Iriana Return To Indonesia

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana left for Indonesia after a five-day working visit to the United States, Sunday (Saturday US time).

Quoted from Antara, the Garuda Indonesia GIA-1 plane carrying President Jokowi and his entourage took off from Andrews Military Base, Washington DC Saturday, at 17.38 local time.

Joining the release of President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana on the steps of the plane were the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States Rosan Roeslani and his wife.

President Jokowi and his entourage are planned to stop at Abu Dhabi International Airport, United Arab Emirates on Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2022, local time to convey condolences to the government, community, and family for the death of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday, May 13, 2022, ago.

President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana and their entourage are expected to arrive in the country on Monday morning, May 16, 2022.

During his five-day visit, President Jokowi has attended a series of ASEAN-US Special Summit (AUSS) meetings with the agenda of meeting with members of the US Congress, meeting with CEOs of large US companies, meeting with US Vice President Kamala Harris, and America's Climate Change Team; and the Summit of ASEAN Leaders and President Joe Biden.

President Jokowi also attended a dinner between leaders of ASEAN countries and President Joe Biden at the White House, Washington DC.

President Jokowi's last agenda in the US was to visit the Space X rocket production plant in Boca Chica on Saturday and discuss with Elon Musk as the founder of Space X.
