JEMBER - Wakapolri Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono expressed his readiness to share experiences when appointed as an extraordinary lecturer or non-permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Jember (Unej), East Java.

Unej Chancellor Iwan Taruna gave a decree (SK) to Gatot Eddy Pramono as an extraordinary lecturer at the local campus Faculty of Law after attending the graduation ceremony for the fourth period of the 2021/2022 academic year at the Unej Auditorium, Saturday, May 14.

"I express my gratitude and appreciation to the Chancellor of Unej and all of his staff. Hopefully with the trust given, I can share knowledge with Unej," said the Deputy Chief of Police as quoted by Antara.

He said the law in Indonesia continues to develop, so this is a challenge in itself, such as progressive law and the law is not always implemented according to theory, such as restorative justice.

"I am a practitioner, so I will share experiences in legal science because the purpose of law is not only to seek legal certainty, but a sense of justice and benefit can be felt by the community," he said.

In addition, the Deputy Chief of Police continued, his party would also teach students related to the development of science and technology that gave birth to a new type of crime or a traditional crime using technology.

"We will share knowledge and experience there because types of crime continue to grow and there are many new things that will become legal challenges in the future. I am proud to be an outstanding lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Unej," he said.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Bayu Dwi Anggono, thanked Komjen Gatot for being an extraordinary lecturer at his faculty.

"We hope that the Deputy Chief of Police can help raise the Faculty of Law, University of Jember with his dedication through his knowledge and experience," he said.

After giving a national speech at the graduation ceremony and meeting with the academic community of the Faculty of Law, Unej, Komjen Gatot also met some of his extended family in Jember Regency.

The Deputy Chief of Police with his entourage stayed at the Aston Jember Hotel and will return to fly to Jakarta using a chartered plane parked at Notohadinegoro Airport on Sunday (15/5) morning.
