Astra's Boon Pring Tourism Village In Malang Is Getting More Popular

JAKARTA - Andeman Boon Pring Tourism, located in Sanankerto Village, Turen District, Malang Regency, East Java, was awarded The 5th ASEAN Rural Development and Property Eradication (RDPE) Leadership Award.

Managed by BUMDes Kerto Raharjo, this tourist location is also part of the fostered village of PT Astra International Tbk, in the Astra Welfare Village (DSA) program. This achievement adds to the award achieved by Sanankerto Village, after recently receiving the Indonesian Tourism Village Award. At the same time, it indicates that the location of the tourist village belonging to Malang Regency has been known to the world.

Astra's Head of Environment and Social Responsibility, Diah Suran Febrianti, said that his party was grateful for this Asean level award. It is also a motivation to innovate in the future.

"We also express our gratitude for the opportunity given to Astra so that we are selected as recipients of this award, which will be our motivation to always innovate in an effort to accelerate development and empower the Indonesian people in the goal of alleviating poverty in Indonesia," Diah said in an official statement. , Friday, May 13.

Diah also hopes that this award will inspire all village activists to always maintain health in working to build Indonesia together with Astra. Moreover, from 930 Astra Prosperous Villages, 151 of them are located in East Java and 21 Astra Prosperous Villages and 2 Astra Berseri Villages are located in Malang.

From the Astra Welfare Village Program, until 2022, there are 207 DSA that have successfully marketed 87 types of superior products. It was even able to penetrate the export market with a total transaction value of IDR 10.07 billion. The Director General of Village and Rural Development Kemendes and PDTT, Sugito, revealed that Boonpring is one of the three champions in East Java, who is now ogling the ASEAN level. For this reason, his party will encourage the development of Sanankerto Village as a place for study and diplomacy with foreign countries.

"This Boon Pring level is already in ASEAN and we hope that the class will also be increased," explained Sugito.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Malang Regency, M Sanusi, emphasized that this award would certainly be a trigger to make the Boon Pring tourist village even more classy. Efforts will be made, namely to provide complete supporting facilities.

"The village of Sanankerto with Boon Pring, has entered the ASEAN class and from the Ministry is believed to be able to rise to the Asian level and then be able to penetrate the world level by also bearing the title as the best BUMDes in Indonesia," said Sanusi explaining.
