159 Police And TNI Personnel Deployed To Secure Pilkades Simultaneously In Mukomuko

MUKOMUKO - A total of 159 joint military and police officers will secure the simultaneous village head election (pilkades) in Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, which is scheduled to take place on May 16, 2022.

Mukomuko Resort Police Chief AKBP Witdiardi in Mukomuko, Thursday, May 12, said that the combined TNI-Polri officers consisted of 64 police officers plus 30 Brimob personnel and assisted by 65 TNI personnel.

A police officer will maintain security in every village holding village head elections. There are 64 villages that hold pilkades.

In addition, he said, his party also received an additional 30 Brimob personnel and was assisted by 65 TNI personnel from Makodim 0428/Mukomuko.

In addition, there are officers who patrol to maintain security and public order in 64 villages holding simultaneous Pilkades.

"There are joint TNI-Polri officers who carry out patrols to maintain security and order in villages that hold Pilkades," he said, quoted by Antara.

Of the 64 villages holding simultaneous Pilkades this year, there is one village in this area that is prone to conflict, namely Mundam Maraf Village, Ipuh District.

However, according to him, there was no increase in the number of personnel in villages prone to conflict during the Pilkades.

"The number of security personnel is fixed, one policeman is guarding the security of one village. However, we have joint Brimob and TNI officers who carry out patrols to anticipate commotion during the simultaneous village head elections," he said.

A total of 64 villages holding the 2022 Pilkades continue to implement health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
