JAKARTA - The joint SAR team finally found the body of a child named Anas Hakiki (4) who had disappeared and was drowned in the Sabi River, Cibodas District, Tangerang City, Banten. The victim was found dead on Thursday, May 12, noon.

The joint SAR team found the victim at a radius of approximately 1.5 KM from the scene of the incident floating on the Sabi Riverbank.

"We found the victim based on information from residents who saw signs of the victim and we immediately evacuated the body to the funeral home," said Head of the Jakarta SAR Office as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in SAR operations, Hendra Sudirman to VOI, Thursday, 12 May.

Hendra said that the process of finding the victim's body was the result of the hard work of a number of teams in the SAR operation to search for victims.

"Finally the victim can be found," he said.

The search for victims continued on Thursday, May 12, in the morning. Officers divided the search area into two.

"The first team conducted a search by sweeping along the Sabi River using a rubber boat up to a radius of 6 km," he said.

Next, the second team conducted a search by visual observation by land on the banks of the Sabi River up to a radius of 4 KM from the scene.

"Dozens of joint search and rescue personnel have been deployed in the search and rescue operation, which is entering its second day," he said.
