Polda Metro Jaya Unloads The Pengoplos Factory Filled With 3 Kg Subsidized Elpiji Gas Cylinders To 12 Kg Non-subsidized Gas Cylinders In Bekasi

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya raided the location where the contents of 3 kg LPG cylinders (Subsidized) were mixed into 12 kg LPG cylinders (Non-Subsidized) at Perum Bojong Menteng, Block B, No. 221 RT 005/009, Bojong Menteng Village, Rawalumbu District, Bekasi city.

"Four perpetrators were arrested from the scene. They had the initials KMP as the owner, HS and two drivers with the initials RA and M," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, May 13.

From the raid site, hundreds of gas cylinders were confiscated, which included 100 empty 3 kg canisters, 560 3 kg filled tubes, 30 empty 12 kg tubes, 9 12 kg filled tubes (results from transfer) and 80 syringes.

In their action, the perpetrators moved the contents of a 3 kg LPG cylinder (Subsidized) to a 12 kg LPG cylinder (Non-Subsidized).

Until now, the perpetrators are still under investigation by the Polda Metro Jaya investigation team. The police will also continue to develop the copying of the gas cylinders to other locations.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were charged with criminal charges in the Oil and Gas sector and/or Consumer Protection and/or Legal Metrology.

"The four perpetrators were threatened with Article 40 point 9 of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation for changes to the provisions of Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas and or Article 62 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 8 paragraph (1) letters b and c of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and or Article 32 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 31 of Law Number 2 of 1981 concerning Legal Metrology," said Zulpan.
