Daihatsu Will Bring Mira E:S Racing Version To Tokyo Auto Salon 2025

JAKARTA - The Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 automotive event will be held on January 10-12 next year by showing off various attractive vehicles. One of the manufacturers participating in this event is Daihatsu.

At the exhibition that took place at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan, Daihatsu will carry a different theme by bringing Mira e:S GR Sport Concept based on the Mira e:S model, one of the affordable cars for the country's rising sun market.

Launching from Japanese media Car Watch, Friday, December 27, this car was presented as part of its efforts to make cars better inspired by motorsports.

Just like the standard version, Mira e:S GR Sport Concept has a compact but much more aggressive size. This car has a length dimension of 3,395 mm, a width of 1,475 mm, and a height of up to 1,500 mm.

With the help of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) division, this car is modified with a special front and back bumper, the presence of a sports seat on the interior, as well as the presence of a 660cc turbocharged engine and a five-speed manual transmission.

In addition, Daihatsu also showcased Mira e:S competing in the All Japan Rally Championship which has similar engines and transmissions such as GR Sport Concept.

However, the car was modified in such a way as adjusting championship regulations such as installing original tower bars, six-point roll cages, as well as releasing rear seat in order to reduce vehicle weight.

The manufacturer will also display Copenhagen GR Sport which is also competing in the local rally championship. It is said that this car has an engine that is upgraded from 660 cc to 770 cc equipped with turbo. Gazoo Racing designed this car with a genuine feder that is 40 mm wider on each side and six-point roll cages installed.

The brand-owned Kei Car model, Atrai also enlivened Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 which was modified into supporting mobility for natural disasters by providing heavy cargo carriers, external electrical sources, and storage boxes.

Daihatsu also showed off the Jumbo Extend Hijet Truck which was designed to support the racing team in carrying out motorsport activities equipped with a 660cc naturally-assired engine.

The brand under the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) umbrella will also carry two other Hijet modification models such as the Disaster Relief Vehicle Lift which helps volunteers with natural disasters supported by solar panels and Tool Bases that provide various devices for various needs.
