In Order Not To Disturb The Order, Commander General Andika Asks For The 42nd Latsitarda Carnival To Be Carried Out Centrally

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, ordered his staff to focus on the cadet band drum carnival which was displayed at the opening of the 42nd Indonesian Taruna Wreda Integrity Exercise (Latsitarda) in Mataram City Square, West Nusa Tenggara.

Andika conveyed that the carnival was held centrally so as not to disturb traffic and maintain order because the activity would attract public attention.

"In my opinion, just there (the square) let the people gather (gather, ed.), because the goal is the same to show (the ability of the cadets' drum band)," Andika told the Commander General of the TNI Academy Lt. Gen. TNI Bakti Agus Fadjari as broadcast on the channel. YouTube Panglima in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

The 42nd Latsitarda Nusantara was held since May 14 and was attended by final-level cadets from the Military Academy (Akmil), Air Force Academy (AAU), Naval Academy (AAL), and Police Academy (Akpol).

The TNI commander is scheduled to open the inter-academic joint training event in Mataram on May 14, 2022.

Latsitarda Nusantara is a routine activity that is followed by final-level academic cadets before they are finally declared graduated and inaugurated as TNI and Polri officers by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

For this year's activity, Danjen TNI Academy explained that the 42nd Latsitarda Nusantara was held in several areas in Lombok, NTB.

Lt. Gen. Bakti reported to the Panglima that the Tiger Training Unit (Satlat), which oversees the Army Academy cadets, would be based in North Lombok.

The Shark Satlat, which oversees the Naval Academy cadets, is based in East Lombok. The Elang Satlat, which oversees the Northern Army Academy cadets is based in Central Lombok, and the Kijang Satlat which oversees the Police Academy cadets is based in West Lombok.

The cadets from various academies have gathered since May 9, 2022 at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, Central Java. The trainees were dispatched together by ship to Lombok.

The 42nd Nusantara Latsitarda activity was attended by 287 Akmil cadets, 106 AAL cadets, 108 AAU cadets, 246 Akpol cadets, and 100 IPDN officers.

Infantry Colonel Franz Yohannes Purba was appointed as Commander of the 42nd Nusantara Latsitarda in charge of four Satlats, namely Satlat 1/Tiger, Satlat 2/Shark, Satlat 3/Elang and Satlat 4/Deer.

"After the opening, they immediately spread to the regions (each training, ed.)," said Danjen TNI Academy.
