During The Pandemic 1,798 COVID-19 Patients At Cibinong Hospital, Bogor Died

CIBINONG - A total of 1,798 COVID-19 patients who were treated at the Cibinong Regional General Hospital (RSUD) died. The number of deaths at the Bogor Regency Regional Hospital occurred during the pandemic.

"There are 1,798 COVID-19 patients who have died here (Cibinong Hospital)," said the President Director of the Cibinong Hospital, Dr. Wahyu Eko Widiharso in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, Wednesday, May 11.

He explained that of the 1,798 patients, 119 of them died in the period from early January 2022 to late April 2022. This death rate occurred when the Omicron variant hit.

"There are also quite a number of people who died in Omicron, there were 119 people in 2022 from January to April," he said.

Now, the number of COVID-19 patients at the Cibinong Hospital is recorded to be only one person, after the transmission has slowed.

"Now there is only one (patient), last night there were two patients, only one has finished. This means that it has dropped drastically. Even though in the past, there were up to 400 people who were treated here," he added, launching Antara.

He said the decline in COVID-19 cases in Cibinong had occurred since the past month. According to him, vaccination is a very influential factor in reducing this case.

The bed occupancy rate for COVID-19 patients at the Cibinong Hospital is now in the range of one to 10 beds.

"In the past, it was Delta (variant), last July, when it was directly exposed to fever, shortness of breath, many died. Now it's rare. In this Omicron, not too many died, at least one percent, two percent," he said.
