JAKARTA - Former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Roy Suryo responded to a photo uploaded by PDI-P politician Ruhut Sitompul on a social media account. According to Roy, Ruhut has spread hoaxes.

The photo shared by Ruhut shows a group of large motorbike riders wearing clothes that read 'Haram to Support Anies Baswedan'. Ruhut uploaded it on his personal Twitter account, @ruhutsitompul.

"This is clearly AHOX, uh, HOAX Hut!" Roy said via his Twitter account, @KRMTRoySuryo2, Wednesday 11 May morning.

Roy explained that the photo shown by Luhut was not like the original. He said the photo was a documentation of when a big motorcycle club went to an event in 2008.

Wanting to prove his rebuttal is correct, Roy also uploaded a photo which he considered to be original without editing. In Roy's photo, the clothes of the motorbike riders are plain without any writing that carries the name of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.

"The photo was originally an Event for the Ducati Desmo OC Indonesia Motorcycle Club (DDOCI) to Automall SCBD on 24/08/08 ago," said Roy.

Roy asked Ruhut to be wiser in using social media. Meanwhile, to the public, the telematics expert appealed not to be easily provoked by re-checking the truth of the content circulating in cyberspace.

"So people shouldn't be fooled by cheap provocations like that. Especially if you still mention cases that have been INKRACHT, KuDet! AMBYAR," he said.
