JAKARTA - The construction of an underpass or tunnel road on Jalan Dewi Sartika, Depok City, West Java has entered the work stage. Therefore, the KRL rail crossing is temporarily closed.

"Dewi Sartika Road is temporarily closed. The closure will be carried out starting May 17, 2022 at 23.30 WIB, together with the Depok Metro Police. We have designed traffic engineering and will apply it until the end of December 2022," said Head of Depok Transportation Agency, Eko Herwiyanto in his statement, Tuesday 10 May quoted from Antara.

Combined personnel will be prepared to assist smooth driving. With a composition of 20 personnel from the Depok Metro Police, 20 Dishub personnel and 10 Satpol PP personnel, which are divided into two shifts at five planned points.

Meanwhile, Head of the Traffic Division of the Depok City Transportation Service, Marbudiantono added, there are four traffic engineering points that will be carried out, first from Jalan Pitara to Jalan Margonda.

The current from Jalan Pitara will be turned left into Jalan Raya Sawangan, then turn right onto the Setia Negara School Bridge and turn right towards Simpang Lima Sengon and go straight to Jalan Dewi Sartika or turn left onto Jalan Nusantara Raya.

"Secondly, Jalan Raya Sawangan goes to Jalan Raya Margonda, the flow from Jalan Raya Sawangan is turned left on the Setia Negara School bridge, then turn right onto Jalan Salak Raya and continue at Simpang Lima Sengon," he explained.

Third, from Jalan Rambutan to Jalan Raya Sawangan, the current from Jalan Rambutan is not allowed to go straight to the Setia Negara School bridge. However, you have to turn left onto Jalan Salak Raya or turn around at Simpang Lima Sengon.

"The fourth is Dewi Sartika Street, this is two-way and is intended for vehicles that go to markets, shopping areas, Depok Baru Station. And the surrounding settlements continue to Jalan Arif Rahman Hakim," he explained.
