GORONTALO - Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie led the inaugural joint gathering after the holiday and joint leave of Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri, as well as saying goodbye to all state civil servants (ASN), Monday 9 May.

He and the Deputy Governor of Gorontalo Idris Rahim will end their tenure on May 12, 2022.

"Alhamdulillah, I am very proud of my last apple and many of the vice governors attended. There are three days left of our term of office, we beg to say goodbye. I also want to apologize for the past 10 years, there have been many things that have been unwelcome, both words and actions," said Rusli in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum, Gorontalo City, quoted by Antara.

In addition to the leadership and staff of the OPD, Rusli also said goodbye to all honorary employees in the provincial government.

He admitted that the hardest thing for him was the discourse that non-permanent employees (PTT) would no longer exist in 2023, while he assessed that so far many PTTs have performed much better than civil servants.

“I am sad to see PTT friends. Why? because 2023 reportedly there will be no more PTT. I remember that in 2019 the issue was the same, but I still lobbied the Ministry of Home Affairs to keep PTT. To my friends, I wish you good luck, good luck, hopefully you will still be maintained as PTT. Even though I am no longer governor, I will still help as much as I can," he said.

He also advised all provincial government civil servants, not only to improve performance, but to be more initiative and creative in carrying out and implementing development programs.

“Yesterday many reporters came to me, many praised, many also said my performance was lacking. If it's a success, I say that you are the great ones, including the aide and driver. Me and the leadership of the OPD if there is no driver, of course there is nothing we can do. Likewise, if there is no aide, Pak Idris and I will be in trouble," he said.

The morning call which was coupled with the gathering was full of emotion when a number of employees gave their impressions and messages while working under their leadership.
