The National Police Chief Opens Up The Possibility Of Implementing One Way From Kalikangkung To Semanggi Toll Roads

JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has opened up the possibility of extending the one-way scheme to prevent traffic jams during the 2022 Lebaran return flow.

The scheme, which previously started from the Kalikangkung toll road section KM 414 to Jakarta-Cikampek KM 3+500, can be extended to the Semanggi toll road, Jakarta.

"We have prepared this effort as a scenario in the event of a long traffic jam and this will continue to be evaluated so that everything goes well," said Listyo Sigit when inspecting Bakauheni Port, Lampung, Saturday, May 7.

However, the extension of the one-way route must go through careful consideration first. Especially referring to the conditions in the field.

In addition, this four-star general asked his staff to continue to carry out escorts and security on alternative roads during the implementation of one way. The hope is that the public will not be disturbed by the policies made.

"It is hoped that everything will go well and smoothly," said Sigit.

Meanwhile, the National Police applies a one-way or one-way scheme from the Kalikangkung toll road to Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) KM 3+500. The decision to extend this scheme is because the number of vehicles going to Jakarta continues to increase.

"Yes, we have (the implementation of the one-way scheme from KM 414 to KM 3+500, ed)," said Head of the Ops Division of the National Police Korlantas Kombes Eddy Djunaedi.

This one-way scheme has been in effect since 07.10 WIB until it ends at 16.35 WIB. The end of the implementation of this scheme because the police decided to apply contraflow.
