No Special Preparation, Pulo Gebang Terminal Predicts Peak Backflow To Occur On D+4 And D+5 Eid

JAKARTA - The Team Commander (Danru) of the Pulo Gebang Bonari Integrated Terminal said the surge in backflow passengers at the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal is predicted to occur on D+4 and D+5 of Eid 2022.

"For the reverse flow, it is predicted to occur on May 7 and 8, 2022, (D+4 and D+5 Lebaran 2022) or Saturdays and Sundays," said Bonari, quoted by Antara, Thursday, May 5.

Even so, he continued, the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal has not made special preparations to deal with the surge in backflow passengers.

They only continue to prepare joint personnel consisting of the Indonesian Police, TNI, National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Satpol PP, National Narcotics Agency (BNN), who are on guard for 1x24 hours to ensure security and order around Pulo Gebang Terminal, as preparations for carried out in the face of the flow of commuting.

"We did not make special preparations, but the preparation of personnel from various institutions, such as the Indonesian Police, TNI, BNPB, Satpol PP, BNN, is still 1x24 hours," said Bonari.

Furthermore, Bonari said that until D+2 Lebaran, there had not been an increase in backflow, and even fewer passenger arrivals entering the DKI Jakarta area compared to normal days.

"The backflow into DKI Jakarta, in this case the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal, is still small. There has not been a spike, even compared to normal days or outside the homecoming season, it tends to be less," he said.

Bonari said that based on data on passenger arrivals at the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal on Thursday, from 00.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB, there were 126 buses carrying 696 passengers. This figure, he said, is likely to increase.

"The number of arrivals on the return flow, the data we have from 00.00 to 12.00 WIB there are 126 buses with 696 passengers. Maybe, later there will be additional ones," he said.
