JAKARTA - General chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subiantos continued his visit in East Java to stay in touch in the midst of the Idul Fitri holiday. Recently, the former Danjen Kopassus and his entourage visited the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang.

During the visit, Prabowo was greeted directly by the leader of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Kiai Haji Abdul Hakim Mahfudz or familiarly called Gus Kikin. Next, the rehearsal between the two was held behind closed doors and continued with a pilgrimage to the grave of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur.

Prabowo said he did have a close relationship with Gus Dur, who he called a visionary figure.

"Gus Dur is a leader whose views are far ahead (visionary). He is also a friend and I am his massage therapist. And I think I was very close to the deceased," he said.

Meanwhile, the grandson of NU founder Kiai Haji Hasyim Asyari, Kiai Haji Irfan Yusuf Hasyim also mentioned that Gus Dur had mentioned that Prabowo would become president at an old age. He prayed that Gus Dur's statement would be true in 2024 or during the presidential election.

"I quote Gus Dur's words, he once said Pak Prabowo will become president at an old age. God willing, 2024," he said.

For information, Gus Dur once talked about the figure of Prabowo. At that time, Gus Dur had said that Prabowo was a sincere person.
