The Regent Of Sambas Doesn't Open House, But Still Receives Guests

JAKARTA - The Regent of Sambas, West Kalimantan, Satono continues to receive guests who want to stay in touch during Eid al-Fitr 1443 H. However, he denies that there is an open house agenda.

"This Eid, we still do not open houses or make hospitality for the community. However, we still welcome guests who want to stay in touch to apologize to each other," said Satono in Sambas, Wednesday, May 4, quoted from Antara.

He explained that there was no opening of houses for the community in accordance with applicable government policies or regulations.

"According to the central government's instructions, we cannot open houses. Come back, even if not, I will still receive Eid guests," he said.

This Eid, Satono received special guests, namely the visit of the Mayor of Singkawang, Tjhai Chui Mie, and the owner of the Kampung Rawit Singkawang Restaurant, Leonardi Tjhai in the context of Eid gathering at the Sambas Regent's Official House.

Regent Satono said during the Lebaran visit he handed over a souvenir in the form of a book entitled The Footsteps of the Farmer's Child, by Erwin Mahrus and Budi Iswanto, which was launched at the end of last April.

"I am very happy to receive a visit from my friend, the Mayor of Singkawang, and Mr. Leo as the owner of the Kampung Rawit Restaurant. On that occasion I handed them a biographical book about myself as a souvenir," he said.
