DENPASAR - A total of 899 inmates or residents assisted by Correctional Institutions and State Detention Centers in eight districts in Bali received special Eid remissions.

"Our fostered residents this year received special remissions for Eid 1443 H as many as 899 people, and from that number, two of them were immediately released", said Head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Jamaruli Manihuruk, Monday, May 2.

This special Eid remission is received by the inmates for a maximum of two months and a minimum of 15 days. This special remission is given to prisoners who have fulfilled administrative and substantive requirements, including having served a minimum of six months of imprisonment, not being registered in register F or the record book of inmates' disciplinary violations, and actively participating in the coaching program organized.

Meanwhile, the number of prisoners who received Eid remission was:

1. Class IIA Kerobokan prison as many as 253 people

2. Class IIA Kerobokan Women's Prison as many as 89 people

3. Narcotics Prison Class IIA Bangli as many as 283 people and one person was immediately released.

4. Class IIB Karangasem prison as many as 59 people

5. Class IIB Tabanan prison as many as 32 people and one person was immediately released.

6. Class IIB Singaraja prison as many as 28 people

7. Karangasem Class II Children's Special Guidance Institute as many as 14 people

8. Class IIB Klungkung detention center as many as 19 people

9. Class IIB Bangli Prison as many as 58 people

10. Class IIB Gianyar Prison as many as 31 people

11. Class IIB State Prison as many as 33 people

Jamaruli also said that the remission obtained today is a form of appreciation and at the same time a right given by the state for the achievement of inmates in behaving and receiving guidance in prisons or remand centers.

"Hopefully this remission that has been given can be a motivation for you to always introspect yourself and keep trying to be a better human being", he said.
