Eid Prayer At Jakarta International Stadium: Anies Baswedan Urges Residents To Come Early

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan appealed to residents to arrive early on Monday at around 06.00 WIB to perform the Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri prayer at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta.

Because Anies said that the Eid prayer 1443 Hijri at JIS will start at 07.00 WIB.

"Tomorrow's Eid prayer starts at 7 am, but we recommend arriving at the location at 6 so we can both sit quietly, takbir until 7 am when the Eid prayer begins," said Anies after celebrating the takbiran night at JIS, Sunday night.

Anies said that after the series of sermons and Eid prayers were completed, the public was allowed to enter and tour the interior of the stadium, including the grass field before they returned home.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has not given a time limit for people who want to tour the interior area of the stadium with a capacity of 82,000 people.

"There are no special restrictions, but it is clear that the entry is gradual. So later there will be an entrance to the stadium, play while walking outside, then it will come down from below near the grass directly to the parking floor," said Anies.

For information, the Head of the Da'wah and Ukhuwah Division of the Central Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Muhammad Cholil Nafis was appointed to be a preacher at the 1443 Hijri Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

The Head of the Mental Spiritual Division of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's Education and Mental Spiritual (Dikmental) Bureau, Aceng Zaini, explained the theme of the first Eid prayer at JIS, namely "Spirit Fitrah to build piety".

Meanwhile, who will be the prayer imam is the 2018 National MTQ Men's Adult Recitations National Champion, Ustadz Heri Kuswanto.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared around 20 thousand capacities to accommodate the congregation who will carry out the 1443 Hijri Eid prayer at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
