MERAK - Banten Police personnel in securing the Ketupat Maung 2022 Operation at the Merak Port Security Post, carry out traffic regulations after the peak of the homecoming flow. Security is also carried out during Eid prayer 2022, morning.

It should be noted that after the peak of the homecoming flow that occurred until yesterday, Saturday, April 30, personnel will continue to carry out security and services to the community so that a safe homecoming and healthy homecoming can be realized.

"We have been on standby sir at this pospam since Friday (22 April) our job here is to provide security and comfort as well as services for people who want to go home through Merak Port," said Ipda Wahyu, security personnel at the Merak Port Pospam.

Security personnel from both Ditlantas and Ditsamapta who are members of the Ketupat Maung 2022 Operation are held along the road to Merak Port during the homecoming flow to ensure that there are no queues for ships.

"It feels good, sir, to be able to do and contribute to the community, it's been 2 years they haven't returned to their hometown to meet their beloved family, it's our duty and obligation, sir, to ensure the safety and smooth running of the travelers," continued Ipda Wahyu.

Wahyu said that during this homecoming flow, various efforts and ways to act in handling traffic flow from the Police had been carried out. Like opening and closing Cikuasa Atas, traffic engineering directs vehicles out of the West Serang GT to go through the arterial route.

However, the Police continue to coordinate and encourage ASDP regarding the queues for deployment.

"Alhamdulillah, sir, today the homecoming flow has broken down or it is normal, sir, meaning that almost some people have moved to their respective hometowns, until now we are still on standby and make arrangements and services for the community," said Wahyu.

On the sidelines of their activities, the security personnel at the Merak Port Pospam performed the Dzuhur prayer in congregation with the homecomers.

"Earlier, members also performed the Dzuhur prayer in congregation with homecomers at the prayer room near the Merak Harbor Pospam," he said.

Ipda Wahyu appealed to the public to remain careful and always maintain personal safety, and remain disciplined in implementing Prokes.

"Hopefully this year's homecoming will be a perfect moment of worship through gathering with family on Eid Al-Fitr 1443H," he concluded.
