Motorcycle Homecoming Begins To Be Seen Tonight In Kalimalang, Pantura Direction

JAKARTA - The Duren Sawit Police Homecoming Security Post Officer stated that the volume of vehicles was starting to increase on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta towards the east or Pantura.

Head of the Homecoming Security Service Post for Duren Sawit Police, Ipda Junaedi Effendi, said the travelers who had received joint leave began traveling to their hometowns at night.

"Yes, one of them is because tomorrow the employees have a day off so they leave early. It is also estimated that tonight there will be an increase from normal days," said Junaedi Effendi, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 28.

Monitoring at the location at around 21.00 WIB, the density of traffic flow occurred before the Pangkalan Jati traffic light which was packed with motorbikes.

Police officers from the East Jakarta Metro Police Satlantas seemed to regulate the flow of traffic to avoid long traffic jams.

Not only that, the officers also reminded travelers to obey traffic signs through loudspeakers.

Junaedi said there were a number of traffic jams on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, East Jakarta, including Pangkalan Jati, Haji Naman to Sumber Artha which borders Bekasi.

"Estimates of the peak flow of homecoming tomorrow and Sunday night," said Junaedi.

Junaedi said that his party has also prepared a traffic engineering plan on Jalan Raya Kalimalang, to be precise in Pangkalan Jati in case of traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, one of the motorbike travelers, Bagus said, that he immediately returned home after getting leave with Lebaran.

"I just got a vacation. I just left the office and went straight," said Bagus, who was planning to go home to Brebes.

Bagus said he was happy to be able to return to his hometown after two years of not going home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I'm very happy because I haven't been home for two years. Now I can go home again and can gather in my hometown," said Bagus.
