Nagrek Bandung Will Apply One Way If Traffic Density Appears

BANDUNG - One-way traffic engineering will be implemented if the density of the Lebaran 2022 homecoming flow occurs in the Nagreg area, Bandung Regency, West Java.

Bandung City Police Resort (Polresta) Kombes Pol Kusworo Wibowo said that currently there is no specific schedule for the one-way scheme on the southern route, so its implementation will be adjusted in the field.

"We will see the condition of the vehicle, later if the vehicle from Jakarta to Garut is quite crowded, then it may be possible to apply one way," said Kusworo at the Cileunyi Integrated Post, Bandung Regency, West Java, Thursday, April 28.

If congestion occurs, he explained that the police will first observe the flow of vehicles from two directions. If there are fewer vehicles going to Bandung or to Jakarta, then the application of "one way" to the east can be applied.

"Then our personnel will fill (close) the small alleys and do it one way," said Kusworo, as quoted by Antara.

But if it happens, he hopes that one way will not be enforced for a long time. After the vehicle begins to decompose until the flow starts to run smoothly, he said, one way will be stopped.

"We are coordinating with the nearest security post, namely Limbangan (Polres Garut), in Cicalengka we anticipate," he said.

In order to expedite the flow on the homecoming route, he explained, his party will anticipate large vehicles when there is a ban on operating for three-axis vehicles.

If there are large vehicles that have already passed, he said, the police will prepare a parking area so that large vehicles can pull over.

"If there is a large vehicle, then we will prepare the pockets on the old Cicalengka Street, it can be used as a parking lot," he said.
