Asking The Government To Pay Attention To Proces To Prevent A Spike Of COVID-19 When Homecoming, Netty PKS: It's Better Not To Bring Children On Motorcycles

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX DPR RI Netty Prasetiyani Aher asked the government to pay attention to the health protocols that travelers will continue to implement ahead of Eid 2022. This is to prevent a spike in COVID-19 cases after the homecoming season like last year.

The deputy chairman of the PKS faction assessed that the government also needs to ensure the feasibility of resting locations and health clinics at terminals, stations, airports, or toll-road stops.

"Don't let this year's homecoming become a turning point for the increase in COVID-19 cases in the country," said Netty to reporters, Wednesday, April 27.

The PKS legislator for the West Java electoral district also encouraged the government to pay more attention to the condition of children during the 2022 homecoming season. This is because, said Netty, children are very susceptible to fatigue during the trip to their hometown.

"Children who go home with their parents need special attention," he said.

Netty also appealed to parents who are going home with their families to prepare adequate supplies for their children's needs.

Especially for motorbike travelers, Netty suggested that children should not be included. Because according to him, air pollution and road congestion are certainly not suitable for children to be brought on motorbikes.

"It's best not to bring children back and forth on a motorbike, let alone sitting in the front. It's very dangerous," he said.
