TANGERANG - Soekarno-Hatta Airport Tangerang, Banten, received a request for 720 extra flights or additional flights from a number of airlines related to the Lebaran 2022 homecoming moment.

"We received requests for additional flights from the airline as many as 720 extra flights specifically at this Eid moment," said Executive General Manager of Soekarno Hatta Airport, Agus Haryadi, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, April 26.

He said, if one plane consists of 150 seats, then the additional 720 flights if converted to seats will be 130,000 seats.

This addition, said Agus, is considered sufficient to accommodate the needs of this year's Lebaran homecoming transportation which has been permitted by the government. "This is to help meet demand during the Lebaran homecoming moment," he said.

He also appealed to the public to be able to travel home early to avoid overcrowding of passengers. "The government has given warnings about this," he said.

Previously, PT Angkasa Pura II as the manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport estimated that there would be 160,000 passengers until the peak of the Lebaran homecoming flow later. This has been seen since last weekend.

Today, the number of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten is predicted to reach 99,147 people with a total of 749 flights for arrivals and departures.
