Lebaran 2022 Homecoming Starts Crowding Daop IV Semarang Train Station

SEMARANG - Passengers going home for Eid 2022 have started arriving to the train station which is included in the Daop IV Semarang category. Over the past week, passenger arrivals have skyrocketed.

PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Public Relations Manager Krisbiyantoro said, during the first four days of the Eid transportation period, from April 22 to 25, 2022, 41,378 passengers had arrived in the Daop Semarang area.

"In average, 10,345 passengers per day," he said in a press release in Semarang, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, April 26.

This number, he continued, was higher than the same period a week earlier which reached a total of 33,596 passengers.

As for the origin of the passengers who disembarked in the Daop Semarang area, he said, most of them came from the Jakarta and Surabaya areas.

The peak of the homecoming flow in the Daop 4 area of Semarang, he continued, is estimated to occur on April 30, 2022 with the number of passengers falling to 16,000 people.

In this year's homecoming flow, he said, KAI also provides free motorbike transportation services for travelers.

For free motorbike transportation services for the Lebaran homecoming period, he continued, the departure period starts from April 26 to 30, 2022. "For free motorbike transportation, this service is served at Tegal, Pekalongan, and Semarang Tawang Stations," he concluded.
