COVID-19 Update As Of April 26: 576 New Cases, 9,739 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 131,257 specimens were examined with the results of 576 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,045,043 people and active cases have fallen by 3,512 to 9,739", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, April 26.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,058 cases, bringing the total to 5,879,141 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that 30 died and a total of 156,163 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 199 cases and a total of 1,247,214 cases. Followed by West Java with 104 new cases with a total of 1,105,134 cases. East Java has 55 new cases and a total of 575,414 cases. Then, Banten with 43 new cases and a total of 292,208 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 3,247 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 232 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 80 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 58 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 95,155,820.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 9.68 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,099 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 199,039,633 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 164,480,156 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 35,518,317.

Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
