JAKARTA - PT Asabri (Persero) handed over compensation to the heirs of the Posthumous TNI Praka Marine soldier Dwi Miftachul Achyar who died in a shootout with an armed civilian group (KSB) in Nduga Regency, Papua.

Asabri President Director Wahyu Suparyono conveyed his condolences to the soldiers' families and hoped that the compensation could help the bereaved families.

"The distribution of the benefits of the Work Accident Insurance program that has been provided by Asabri is expected to ease the burden on the families left behind," Wahyu said in a statement in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, April 26.

The benefits provided are in the form of Special Death Risk Compensation (SRKK) worth IDR 450 million and Insurance Savings Cash Value (NTTA) worth IDR 5.02 million.

The donation was symbolically given to Sunarto, the deceased's father at the funeral home, Jalan Sumowiharjo RT. 03 RW. 10 Babat District, Lamongan Regency, East Java.

The handover of the compensation was also witnessed by Danpasmar 2 Brigadier General Mar Suherlan and Lamongan Regent Yuhronur Efendi.

On this occasion, Bank Woori Saudara (BWS) also gave a gift to the family of the deceased in the amount of Rp. 10 million.

Praka Dwi Miftachul is a soldier of the 2nd Marine Corps Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion (Yontaifib 2 Mar) Pasmar 2 Marine Corps.

He died in a shootout with KSB led by Egianus Kogoya which attacked the Mupe Task Force Post in Kwareh Bawah, Nduga Regency, causing two Marines to die and eight people to be injured.
