Soekarno Hatta Airport Police Prepares Five Posts For Homecoming Eid

TANGERANG - The Resort Police (Polres) of Soekarno Hatta Airport, Metro Jaya Police, have alerted five service and security posts in the Aviation Terminal Area in the area during the Lebaran 1443 Hijri homecoming season.

Soekarno Hatta Airport Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol Sigit Dany in Tangerang, Monday, April 25, said that the preparation for the homecoming post consisted of five security posts, three service posts, one integrated post, and two command center posts.

"We support the entire process of homecoming and forth at this time, later in the context of securing the 2022 ketupat operation we have carried out. And it was held directly by the National Police Chief," he said, as quoted by Antara.

He said that the joint ranks of the TNI/Polri, and related stakeholders would be deployed at the service post and security for the homecoming.

"And specifically for Soetta Airport, we fielded 250 combined TNI/Polri officers and stakeholders. To provide security and services to the community," he said.

He said the number of personnel who were alerted would also be added later if there was a development of the situation on the ground.

"We will see the development of the situation going forward, if it is needed, it is possible that we can request a backup from the Metro Jaya Police," he said.

He hoped that this year's Eid homecoming security could be carried out safely and healthily, so that travelers who traveled by air could reach their destination safely and avoid exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Meanwhile, AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin added that his staff would ensure readiness for the Lebaran homecoming post services that had been prepared.

"First of all, we have prepared the implementation of SOPs, both operations to the airport and related to take-off traffic as well as the readiness of health protocols according to directions from the government," he said.

In addition, he said, his party also ensured the readiness of airport infrastructure facilities by re-activating a number of terminals after previously being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are also preparing personnel both in adequacy and skill. And as is known for personnel support during Lebaran homecoming this year there are approximately 5,700 officers who are members of a number of relevant stakeholders," he said.
