JAKARTA - Tesla's Robotaxi will soon roll out worldwide in 2024. During Tesla's earnings call Wednesday, company CEO Elon Musk said the robotaxi was "highly optimized for autonomy" and would not have a steering wheel or pedals.

Musk hinted at another "exciting" innovation in Robotaxi by saying the goal is to achieve the lowest possible cost per mile. Thus, the cost of using Tesla's robotaxi will be lower than taking the bus.

"I think it's going to be a very strong product, and it's going to be a big driver for Tesla's growth," he said.

Musk stated that Robotaxi will launch sometime next year, and the company plans to mass-produce it by 2024.

He even mentioned the robotaxi vehicle at the company's recent "Cyber Rodeo" event, saying that the Robotaxi would look quite futuristic.

During the call, Musk said that the company's Full Self Driving technology was very difficult to perfect.

To complete Full Self Driving, Musk argues that you really have to solve real-world artificial intelligence, which no one has ever solved.

"And I think we will achieve that this year," he added.
