JAKARTA - The North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General of Police RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak said the public need not worry about carrying out activities in the face of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri because of the steady security situation in the area.

"We will carry out patrols and ensure that Eid al-Fitr in North Sumatra is safe and conducive," he said in his remarks for the Troops Title Ceremony at Medan Soewondo Air Base in Medan, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 23.
