JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko revealed, the relocation and construction of the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) is a concrete manifestation of the democratic system.
Moeldoko explained that the manifestation of democracy is in the form of social justice for the community. So according to him, the development and transfer of IKN is oriented to the concept of Indonesia-centric which aims at equitable development.
"This IKN changes its orientation from Java-centric to Indonesian-centric. This is an extraordinary concept of justice brought by President Jokowi," said Moeldoko during a meeting with the youth organization Pemuda Democrat Indonesia in Jakarta, Friday, April 22.
The development and relocation of the IKN will also create a new balance that can be a solution to the nation's problems as well as answer the nation's challenges, he added.
"Being a solution means that IKN will solve various past and IKN problems as well as answer future challenges, such as the challenges of water security and energy security," he said, quoted from Antara.
The former TNI Commander ensured that the construction of the Nusantara IKN would continue, following six derivative regulations of Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN in the form of two government regulations (PP) and four presidential regulations (perpres).
"Next week, the plan will be announced by the National Development Planning Agency/Ministry of National Development Planning," he added.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Youth DPP Bahar Farawowan said the development and transfer of the IKN was an issue that would continue to be discussed by cadres from various youth organizations.
Indonesian Democratic Youth, he said, would also intensively socialize Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN.
"This IKN is a lofty ideal of Bung Karno (President Soekarno) that can be realized in the era of President Jokowi. The Indonesian Democratic Youth is ready to oversee this super priority program," said Baharudin.
Pemuda Democrat Indonesia is a youth community organization (ormas) that was founded in 1947. The organization previously called Pemuda Marhaen took part in the formation of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI).
