JAKARTA - Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19 Prof Wiku Adisasmito asked young women to download the PeduliLindung application and fill out the Domestic EHAC (electronic – Health Alert Card) feature before traveling.

"Thus, all forms of travel requirements can be directly integrated into PeduliLindungi through EHAC," said Wiku in the Healthy Homecoming, Safe Homecoming 2022 Webinar quoted by Antara, Friday, April 22.

Wiku emphasized that President Joko Widodo had directed the entire community to be able to go home safely and healthily in order to keep the COVID-19 pandemic condition under control. Therefore, there are differences in the regulations of travelers, which makes PeduliLindungi needed by all travelers.

One of the most visible differences is that people are directed to carry out the third dose of vaccination first, before going home, so that immunity can be formed optimally, he said.

In addition, there are different rules in the Circular Letter of the Task Force Number 16 concerning provisions for active domestic travelers (PPDN) effective from April 19, 2022. It is stated that travelers who have received the third dose are allowed not to show the COVID-19 test.

"On the contrary, for travelers who have just received the vaccine twice, they are required to show the results of the antigen test 1x24 hours or PCR 3x24 hours before departure. Meanwhile for travelers who have just received the first dose of vaccine, they are required to show the results of the PCR test 3x24 hours before departure," he said.

Wiku said travelers who have certain health conditions or comorbidities can include the results of a 3x24 hour PCR test and a certificate from the hospital because they cannot be vaccinated.

Meanwhile, children aged 6-17 years can be free from the COVID-19 test as long as they have received the full dose of vaccine. Meanwhile, children under 6 years old are allowed not to take the test provided that the companions have met the travel requirements according to the applicable regulations.

"Both the proof of vaccination in the form of a certificate and the results of the COVID-19 test, will later be recorded in one medium in PeduliLindung. PeduliLindung is also able to record the health requirements of up to four people in one family," he said.

PeduliLindung also makes monitoring easier through colors that can explain the user's health condition. For example, green if you have received a complete or booster dose of vaccine and black if it turns out to be positive for COVID-19.

Wiku hopes that all parties will use the PeduliLindung application so that when they stop carrying out inspections by the Task Force at a number of homecoming points, no problems will occur and travelers can return to their hometowns feeling happy and healthy.

In addition, health protocols must still be carried out so that the transmission of COVID-19 does not spread further. Wiku also asked travelers to pay attention to sleep patterns and food consumption so that they stay healthy both at their destination and when they return to their hometown.

“It is better if all the requirements are met so that everything goes smoothly. So the mental condition of the people who are traveling, are also in a happy condition because they want to go home and the requirements are complete, of course, avoiding accumulation on the road, "said Wiku.
