Kadishub Makassar Appreciates Police Who Reveals Shooting Of Members, Female Witness Asked To Leave

MAKASSAR - Head of Makassar City Transportation Service (Dishub), South Sulawesi Iman Hud expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the police in uncovering the shooting of its member, the late Najamuddin Sewang, after returning home from work on Jalan Danau Tanjung Metro.

"I highly appreciate my friends from the police in a short time, the case can be revealed," said Iman Hud, in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 21.

Based on this incident, said the former Head of the Makassar Satpol PP, a lesson can be drawn. However, what will happen to the suspect, victim and his family in the future from this incident, of course, this is unfortunate.

Although he had been reluctant to speak out on the case, until it was finally revealed by the police, Iman stated that he still respects and fully submits the legal process to the authorities.

Even though her members were victims and died, as well as a woman with the initials R, a member of the Makassar Transportation Agency who later became the subject of discussion regarding the love triangle between the victim and the perpetrator, who was suspected of being the mastermind of the shooting with the initials MIA (Head of Makassar Satpol PP is inactive).

"I didn't know it (a romantic relationship). From the results of the expression on social media there was a love triangle, I didn't understand because it was hidden. I only found out that the incident was revealed after the incident," he said again.

Prior to the incident, Iman said, everything was normal, because on April 1, 2022, Culture Day was held, and everyone was on duty, including himself. He also always emphasizes that the members do a good job, put forward the values of truth and religion because they want to enter the month of Ramadan.

"In general, everything at Dishub is normal. It means that the work as usual includes the deceased well. That's why I was surprised too, I don't know the extent of his daily personal life," said Iman.

Psychology of female witnesses

Based on the initial development of this case, said Iman, as many as 20 officers of the Makassar Transportation Agency were summoned by the police. Including R was examined intensively as a witness. Psychologically, you may not be able to be active normally, moreover, social media and the media are aggressively reporting on negative (vulgar) things more about personal problems, not the case.

"We hope that this is the awareness of all of us. We must understand, because this is related to social values, justice and humanity, do not overdo it. However, we do not tolerate criminal acts, let alone breaking the law," he asserted.

Since this case was revealed, said the former Head of Operational Section of the Makassar Transportation Agency, witness R (serving as Head of Sea Transportation Operations) has been rested to recover his psychological condition, considering that the social sanctions against him are felt to be very heavy.

"I said to take leave first, because this is still in the investment and development stage. This means, he (R) may still be questioned. We have to understand the situation and his psychology, including the families of the victims and perpetrators," said Iman again.

Because, he said anyway. they have families, wives, children. If it continues to be widely blown up (published), it will have an impact on something that is uncomfortable for the respective families involved in the incident.

However, the Makassar Transportation Agency's activities continued as usual, even though all were shocked after the incident, considering that he was psychologically the leader, even though it was difficult to take lessons from it.

"I think this is a psychological burden, especially in various media, there has been a lot of discussion and even vulgarity. The psychology must be there, so we give space for R to recover. Regarding sanctions, it is also difficult because he is not a suspect. This is a matter of the heart, more to ethics and morals, not formal law in our legal system," he explained.

Previously, the police had named five suspects in this case. Each has the initials MIA, SU, CA, AS and SH, two of whom are known to be members of the National Police, two are Satpol PP officers, and one is a Makassar Transportation Agency officer.
