Tomorrow BEM UMI And AMI Hold Demonstrations At Three Points, This Is Traffic Engineering

JAKARTA - The University of Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM UI) and the Indonesian Student Alliance (AMI) plan to hold a demonstration on Thursday, April 21. Police said there were three locations where the action took place.

"The plan is at 3 points, namely at the Horse Statue, then at the DPR MPR and at one point at Harmoni," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Wednesday, April 20.

With the demonstration, traffic engineering was prepared. One of them is the diversion of traffic flow since 09.00 WIB.

Sambodo said that later traffic engineering, the Horse Statue area, the State Palace, around Harmoni, Gambir heading to the Palace, Veterans and in front of the DPR MPR RI will be closed.

"What is clear is that if Sapta Pesona is closed, Harmoni must also be closed, it will be done simultaneously. Then hopefully the masses who are demonstrating in Harmoni will not close the intersection," he said.

"If the Harmoni intersection is forced to close, said Sambodo, from Jalan Surya Pranoto it will turn left towards Glodok. Then all those from Glodok will turn left towards Jalan Veterans. Meanwhile, for veterans, motorists will be directed towards Tomang, " he continued.

On the other hand, Sambodo appealed to the public to avoid these areas. In particular, the participants in the action were asked not to block the road.

"The point is, please, the community arranges trips so that tomorrow morning they can avoid the three areas and look for other alternative routes," said Sambodo.
